Azizul Halim Yahya is a professor with a strong background in advertising, communication, and media studies and an expert in areas of marketing, strategic and political communication especially in branding and promotion. He has vast experience in building relations with government, global industries, and media organizations, that include issues and crisis communication. For this, he is frequently invited for talks, lectures and keynote sessions at local and international levels such as The World Emerging Industries Summit (WEIS) and Global High-End Manufacturing Summit 2015, 2017 and 2019, also from the Chinese government (PRC) and Asia–Pacific CEO Association Worldwide (APCEO). He has also been invited for many appearances on media such as the interviews by BERNAMA, Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), TV3, Berita Harian, New Straits Time, Al-Jazeera, Astro AWANI, Business FM (BFM) and Kurdistan TV.


Azizul is a strong scholar who has presented more than 30 papers in reputable international and local academic conferences and published more than 40 journal articles which include indexing by SCOPUS and THOMSONS REUTERS (WOS). To date, he has successfully secured more than 50 grants as a project leader, accumulating RM15 million. Being an educator who is passionate in guiding others, he inspires and motivates students to be successful and has supervised 35 research students, both at Master and Doctoral levels. His work is internationally recognized, and he has been invited in various capacities to more than 30 events such as Erasmus Mobility Program to Burgas University, Bulgaria, Ohio-UiTM collaboration in Ohio University, USA and recently, a personal invitation by Prince Turki Bin Talal Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud to speak at the King Khaled University, Abha, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a keynote speaker at an international conference.


Azizul is a critical decision maker at faculty, university and national level on corporate strategy, policy-making, curriculum building and audit, financial, talent development and training, succession planning, national education and media development. Evidently, he has held various notable appointments such as one of the board members in the Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA) (2018- 2019) and (2019-2020). He was also recently appointed by Yang di-Pertuan Agong as one of the Board of Governors of BERNAMA (2020 -2021) and a member of the National Advertising Committee (Ahli Jawatankuasa Periklanan Negara).


In 2018, Azizul was shortlisted as one of the Top 100 most dedicated professors in World Education Congress. He was also awarded as “The Best Professor in Communication and Media Studies” at the Golden Globe Tigers Malaysia 2018- the “Tigers” in marketing, branding CSR & social innovation, education & academic across leadership levels in individual and organization.
